It was a rather warm afternoon several days after the start of term of Albus Severus' first year attenting Hogwarts. With a sigh, the middle Potter child headed out of the doors of the castle leading him towards the Quidditch pitch. He walked at a rather slow pace for it took up more time that way. When the boy finally made it over to the vast pitch he walked a little ways into the stadium and then stopped. No one was there at the moment so Albus took a seat on the ground below him.
Only a few moments later Albus found himself laying on his back with his hands behind his head. He was looking up at the towering goal posts wishing he could be up there, actually playing in a game. But Albus wasn't a fool, he knew there was no way he'd be able to make the house team..not this year at least...and probably not the year after that either. No, Albus highly doubted that he would ever end up making the house team. Nevertheless, Albus still loved the idea of being on the house team.
The young Albus Potter continued to lay there looking up for a good half an hour, at which point he was paying no attention to the setting sun or the time.

Hana soured through the air on her broomstick, feeling her hair whip her face gently as she did a graceful loop-de-loop. Whether it was wizarding or muggle sports, Hana did not object and would gladly accept any challenge that crossed her path. Hana caught the Quaffle as it came her way and passed it on to her friend, Krystal.
Hana wanted to join the Gryffindor team, but didn't know whether she should be a Beater or Chaser. She was laughed at when she first asked to try out for Beater, but they didn't exactly snicker when she hit a rough Bludger without any real effort, and knocked out a guy twice her size.
"Let's call it a day, okay?" Hana shouted and landed softly on the ground. She took out a water bottle form her bag and took a few gulps, letting the cold liquid quench her thirst.
Hana's eyes caught something as she swung her bag over her shoulder. It was a boy...she must have missed him...she picked up her broomstick and made her way over to him. She must have spotted him somewhere in the halls of Hogwarts when she was rushing to her class. Hana halted to a stop when she was just a few feet away from the boy.
"Hey there!" she greeted him with a friendly wave of her free hand.

Albus jumped slightly at the sound of a voice. Looking over to see who it was, he sat up and then stood up. "Hello," He said in a small voice. The girl appeared to be several years older than himself and by the look of her robes she was a Gryffindor. Albus had only wished to have been placed into Gryffindor when he first arrived at the school, just as he dad had, but the sorting hat had other plans for him.
"Oh...I'm Albus." He said suddenly, remembering that he had not introduced himself to her. "I hadn't even noticed that there was anyone else down here...I'm just not that observant I guess," He shrugged, suddenly quieting down again. Usually Albus didn't start talking up like this but he had subconciously figured that what the heck, he might as well try to make some friends while he was here instead of just continuing to hide in the shadow of his brother.

"Hello."
Hana grinned, delighted that received a greeting in turn- She didn't want to frighten anyone who was knew to Hogwarts, and she would have thought that the rumor's of her playing muggle sports were enough to frighten anyone to death."Oh...
I'm Albus."
Hana's grin widened. She not only saw him in the hallways, but she must have seen him at the sorting ceremony. He was in Hufflepuff if Hana remembered clearly. "I'm Hana, mind if I call you Al?" she asked, trying to keep their meeting friendly.
"I hadn't even noticed that there was anyone else down here...I'm just not that observant I guess."
Hana tilted her head to the side, curiosity overwhelming her. He must have come out here for a reason...maybe he wanted to play a little Quidditch? First years weren't allowed their own brooms, from what Hana had heard in her first year at Hogwarts. "Say, you like to play Quidditch?" she asked, wondering if the shy boy would bother to reply.

"I'm Hana, mind if I call you Al?" she asked, trying to keep their meeting friendly.
"Alright." Albus smiled. He was happy that someone was actually taking time out of there day to talk to him. Maybe Hogwarts won't be so bad after all. He thought to himself. Albus' smile stayed glued to his face.
"Say, you like to play Quidditch?"
"I love quidditch...well...from what I've played with my dad and brother...My dad's been trying to teach me for a few years now. I'm not amazing like my brother but then again, I'm not much like my brother really." Well, this is strange, he thought, I don't usually talk this much...I hope I don't scare her away!
"Too bad first years aren't allowed brooms, mum said she'd get me a broom next year." He smiled thinking of how much fun he'd have with his own broom.

"Alright."
Hana felt happy that he was till within her presence. She had this unusual habit of scaring anyone away when she started talking about muggle sports or mountain climbing, although Hana didn't mean to.
"I love quidditch...well...from what I've played with my dad and brother...My dad's been trying to teach me for a few years now. I'm not amazing like my brother but then again, I'm not much like my brother really."
Hana raised a free hand to her chin, her other still holding her bag and broomstick. He was so much like her friend Krystal, shy, timid, and yet he emitted so much just by looking at him. Hana smiled encouragingly.
"I'm sure you're perfectly good at playing, all you lack is a bit of self confidence. " she said gently. Hana's motto was to build up, and not knock down anything. "You don't have to be like your brother at all, just be yourself and people will find you appealing as well."
"Too bad first years aren't allowed brooms, mum said she'd get me a broom next year."
"Which position do you like to play as? Seeker? Keeper?" she questioned Albus.

"You don't have to be like your brother at all, just be yourself and people will find you appealing as well."
At this statement, Albus' smile grew, if that was even possible. He inwardly wished that every Hogwarts student were like Hana was, but Albus knew that could never happen especially with Slytherins running around the place.
"Which position do you like to play as? Seeker? Keeper?" she questioned Albus.
"Well, I usually always play Keeper when the family gets together and plays a game. I've tried the other positions before but they never really worked for me." Albus replied. Sad enough as it was, Albus Severus had never really tried to make friends with other neighborhood kids. He always felt as though they'd find something to make fun of him for, like his brother sometimes did, but now Albus regreted never stepping outside of his 'shell' to talk to any of them before. It was in these first few minutes of meeting Hana that Albus made a decision. This year, he was going to try and make as many good friends as possible.

"Well, I usually always play Keeper when the family gets together and plays a game. I've tried the other positions before but they never really worked for me."
Hana's eyes twinkled with interest as she took in everything of what Albus had said to her. Her ears perked up slightly, which always did whenever she really wanted to hear something.
"How about we meet tomorrow after lunch and show me what you got! If you played before then you must be more than good." she said, giving him a wink. There's no denying that once you have done something, you'll know how to do it. Indeed, Hana may have had a reputation for being hyper and wild, but she managed to make friends. If students had problems with each other they really should solve it between them and not go running to the professor to get the other in trouble or try to make their life difficult. Hana shifted her broom slightly, not wanting it to slide off of her shoulder.
"So, how about it?"

Albus nodded excitedly at the thought of being able to practice quidditch with someone who knew what they were doing...not that his father and family members didn't know what they were doing but at least Hana was a few years closer to Albus than some of the others were. Sure, Hana was a few years older...around four or so it seemed to Albus, it was still a start. Finally, Albus Potter had a friend...and not just one that was a family member and had to deal with him.
"So, how about it?"
"Definatly," Albus replied with energetically. He couldn't wait to come back and get a go at playing quidditch with someone else besides the usual for a change. "Alright," He said, confirming his previous statement with the same excitment.
