One Saturday morning, a little while after breakfast had finished, a small boy started to tour about the vast castle known as Hogwarts just for something to do. He wasn't really hungry that morning so a piece of toast with jam had done the trick before he up and walked out of the Great Hall, intending to think up something to do. In doing this, he failed, but instead he took to walking around the corridors almost half consciously.
Albus Severus Potter took to gazing at portraits as he passed them. He went from floor to floor doing nothing more than wandering. As he reached the second floor on his way back down, the child heard a wailng noise issuing from the girls' lavatory just down the hall. It had broken him out of a sort of...trance if you will...but only a few moments after he heard it he remembered his brother telling him the story of how a girl had died there and her ghost remained.
Ignoring the moans and cries of the girl, Albus continued on his way. He turned around a corner and stopped at a window. It was around eleven now and lunch would be served in about an hour, but Albus still wasn't hungry at all. There he stood, looking out the window at the other students below. Most were outside enjoying the nice weather, but Albus didn't feel like going outside...maybe later, he thought, but for now he was just content watching the clouds pass by through the window.
